Traditionalist Catholics may run a spectrum from the now ex-communicated Archbishop Jean LeFévre to Catholic Charismatics who have been returned to Post Vatican II style Catholic tradition, even while maintaining an ecumenical orientation. Among traditionalist Catholics, significant apocalypticism is found among Marian Catholics such as the Soldiers of Jesus and Mary and among Charismatics.

Traditional Catholics emphasize the truth of the scriptures, but also the importance of specifically Catholic ritual, including the adoration of the Eucharist and devotion to the Virgin Mary. Some also maintain anti-modern cultural stances common with Fundamental Protestants. However, Traditional Catholics may propose different means and outcomes for apocalyptic narrative. There is some borrowing and promoting of this apocalyptic tradition by the Baptist media preacher and apocalypticist Jack Van Impe.
